ASME Press is an imprint of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME),
established to publish books and now eBooks beyond the Society’s traditional programs
of publications sponsored by ASME’s technical divisions. The ASME Digital Collection
currently contains over 120 new and classic eBooks and will increase by approximately
20 new titles each year.
ASME Press publishes high-quality professional
and reference works, handbooks, select non-ASME conference proceedings, as well
as advanced monographs in established and emerging areas of interest to mechanical
engineers and allied disciplines.
These include guidebooks that support
ASME’s most popular international standards publications, such as the Companion
Guide to the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code (ASME-BPVC), as well as concise,
scholarly monographs in subjects such as bioengineering, nanotechnology, and energy
sustainability.
ASME Press books contribute to ASME’s worldwide reputation
as the source of essential information for mechanical engineers. For example, one
of our most popular texts is the Unwritten Laws of Engineering, which has over 100,000
copies in print.
