Avoiding Premature Failure

The potential for component failures may increase due to poor preplanning, improper selection and execution of design specifications, or inadequately performed pre-commissioning stages. The nature of these failures may be mechanical, operational, or chemical. Maintaining and monitoring cleanliness during fabrication, shipping, site storage, field construction, and pre-commissioning cleaning will avoid lengthy start-up delays and post-commissioning failures.
