Dynamics of Rigid Bodies: Analytical Approach


In this chapter, we extend the analytical approach to the motion of rigid bodies. We begin by deriving the kinetic energy expression for rigid bodies and use it in conjunction with Lagrange’s equation to find the equations of motion for planar and non-planar rigid bodies.
