Compare the Results of Comsol Multiphysics Software and Matlab Pdetool in Finite Element Analysis of the Diffusiion Equation


The finite element method originated from the need for solving complex electromagnetic problems in electrical engineering. Skin depth is one of the important issues in microwave engineering. Many software to solve skin depth problems used finite element method Such as Matlab, Comsol and etc. But Results from different software, is not accordance with each other. In this paper, the diffusion equation using the software Comsol, and Matlab Pdetool with finite element method has been studied. Simulation shows that, the results of the software Matlab Pdetool, with the physical laws do not match, and not trusted.
