FKT Based Linear Precoding for Multiuser Multiple Input Multuple Output System


In this paper, we present Multi-user multiple inputs multiple output (MUMIMO) precoding scheme utilizing Fukunaga-koontz Transform (FKT). Our work motivated by the precoding scheme developed by Sadek, Tarighat, and Sayed that maximize the per user signal to leakage noise ratio (SLNR). In this method the precoding matrix is obtained by both generalized eigenvalue decomposition (GEVD) and generalized singular value decomposition (GSVD). However, precoding matrix computation using GEVD gives poor results at high SNR values. More accurate results are generated using GSVD with high computational load. To reduce the computational load and maintain accurate results, FKT based precoding algorithm is explained and simple method is derived to compute precoding matrices for multiple users by removing redundant computation of FKT transform factor for each user.
