Chapter 3
Characterization of Silica Materials as Potential Carriers for GMDP

Introduction of the functional groups onto the silica particle surface was confirmed by FTIR spectra. The spectra were recorded using an Avatar 360 FT-IR ESP spectrometer at room temperature in the range of 4000 to 400 cm−1. The samples were examined as KBr disks.
