Numerical Simulation and Analysis on Gas Turbine Static Blade Erosion Caused by Particle Flow

To find the cause of gas turbine static blade erosion, Euler-Lagrange discrete model is adopted, numerical simulation is also presented on the gas turbine inner flow-solid field, and the erosion extent is latter analyzed based on comparison of different inlet velocities, thus we conclude the most intense erosion made by the small particles are mainly focused on the 50%–60% area of a pressure surface, while the erosion caused by large diameter scale particles mostly locate in the 40%–50% area of a pressure surface, and the 70%–80% area of a suction side, and constituting the most critical factor for that kind of erosion, meanwhile for both particles, the erosion extent will enhance with the increase of inlet velocity.
