Position Controller for DC Motor Using PI Controller with KALMAN Filter


Aim at the problem of the control performance degradation and the low efficiency of parameters which the common PID has in the servo system of DC motor, this paper proposed a method of precise position control for DC motor using the PI controller with KALMAN filter. This method replaces differentiation element which is in the PID controller with KALMAN filter in order to simplify the tuning of the parameters of the PID controller, enhancing the robustness of the control system and accelerating the respond of the system. Simulation shows, compare with the common PID controller, the proposed method has better dynamic property, higher efficiency of parameters and it can improve the position control performance of DC motor.
